The road to success as an author, or even a writer of articles and blogs, is like any other job. It takes persistence, practice, and foibles – lots of foibles – to become comfortable with your persona. While learning more about the mechanics of this webpage, I discovered comments (over 700) from readers who are not followers, so their comments went into spam. They were all positive and attracted to the content. Most recently, many have shown interest in the Indie Author Program. Indiana’s public schools identified nearly 19,789 homeless students in the 2017-2018 school year, which includes 1,164 unaccompanied youth. Between 2022 and 2023, the number of unaccompanied youth increased by 15%, that’s 4,613 more youths nationally. (HUD, 2023) The situation with homeless individuals has worsened. The winters are colder and the summers are hotter. This is a problem only compassion and love for our fellow man can change. ~ E. M. Duesel
